What about old school sci fi films vs modern reality. In terms of what technology they thought back then in those films would exist in this day and age eg Flying cars and what things were in those films that did become a reality eg Robots and how sci fi today could give a glimpse into how society may change eg robots taking over...dont know if that counts as a dissertation but robots alien technology etc fascinates me and its suprising how old films actually predicted some of the technology we have today
