Posh can do many things: pout, wear clothes, pout, walk around a bit, pout – the list is endless – but we never thought she could sing. At the peak of the Spice Girls’ fame, she’d be lucky if she got a word in over Mel C’s drawn-out yelping, and her solo stuff was so over-produced that it was impossible to tell if it was a human being, let alone whether or not Victoria could actually hold a note. Bearing all of this in mind, we’d imagine that you, like us, will be rather shocked by this video. Filmed a couple of years ago at a private party, we get to see Posh singing properly live to a handful of people, with only an acoustic guitar for company. OK, so she’s hardly stretching her vocal chords Mariah-style, but for that we should be grateful because she mostly sounds, well, alright – the kind of alright that would probably get her to at least the boot-camp stage of the X Factor, if Simon Cowell liked the look of her (which, let’s face it, he totally would). We still think we could beat her at Singstar, though.
