Is it really too hard to envisage? Was not his behaviour you describe all part of having an anxiety attack when he felt out of his depth? Its what people do and a couple of opinions on panic attacks do not cover the whole spectrum.
I think sometimes ardent dislike of a housemate can overwhelm any sense of giving them the benefit of the doubt or get the wrong end of the stick.
Lewis has faults but no where near as many as has been leveled at him by the same posters who dislike him. Their overworked dislike just reaches new levels.
He is the polls favourite, so the majority of viewers do not hold him in such contempt, neither are they fools not to see his so called never ending faults.
