It's obvious from Cameron's comments about it all since the show finished, that it wasn't some grand scheme to gain popularity, but something he was struggling with or a while. Not that I ever believed it was fake anyway. There's just a lot of cynicism surrounding the way Big Brother gets discussed.

I was talking about my operation and my fear of death and I think everyone who’s watched the video and isn’t being ridiculous knows that I didn’t in anyway come out and it’s ridiculous for anyone to say I did based off of that video, but like I said on the video the majority know the truth and I’m not going to let the trolls affect me like I was before. The one ones I love and those who support me know the truth and that’s all that matters to me
