Bastille, Jess and Dua aren't headline material. Barely even slot-before-headline material.
Headline material: Madonna, Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, P!nk, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse, Arcade Fire, Morrissey, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, ABBA*, Fleetwood Mac, Ed Sheeran (sadly), Adele, Rolling Stones, The Who, Kanye West, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers maybe???? idk might be a bit past it now. Left-field choices that could be interesting, are certainly legendary figures of music but would get a few "....eh?" headscratches from the unwashed masses: Pet Shop Boys, Bjork, MIA, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, The Specials, Madness Potential reunions that would mark the occasion nicely: Oasis, Led Zeppelin, R.E.M., Stone Roses, Blur Of today's most contemporary popstars I could only really see Ariana Grande being justifiable as a headliner. People like Selena, Miley, Bieber, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift etc. are all too "youth-market" to get a headline gig I think. The 1975 would be great but I don't know if they're seen as huge enough by the older generations yet. Wouldn't object, though. Excluding anyone who's headlined this year because that'd be odd. *omg I would scream. Aren't they touring soon again?
