As far as I know they want net-zero carbon emissions by 2025. I think that would damage economies and living standards a lot.
The UN's IPCC about climate change has said that a move to net-zero for any timescale requires carbon capture technology that doesn't yet exist, so the next ten years is unrealistic.
One of the Extinction Rebellion people was on the Andrew Neil show, and didn't have many answers to the accusations of alarmism.
