I do think that having Davina at the helm would spark a lot more interest than any other host would, tbh. I could see a lot of the viewers who distanced themselves from the show during the CH5 years coming back, even just for the launch.

Davina's been intolerable on The Masked Singer. I don't really want her back, she's more of a fine emblem of the original C4 era and we now need someone new. I liked Emma, too, but I didn't ever think she was that invested in the show.

Someone new who is trying to make a career for themselves and will therefore care about the show's performance is essential. Not someone already existing and not really arsed whether it survives for a new season or not.

She can only do so much with what she’s given .. Masked Singer is an abysmal offering

Yeah, I'd rather Davina stayed associated with the show at its peak (regardless of the later decline of the C4 era).

If she came back at this point she would ruin that, so I can't see her wanting to come back this much time later.
