You've also got the issue that such schemes always impede jobseeking efforts as it makes jobseekers less flexible in when they can interview and such and it gives them less time to actually job search.

Schemes like these exist only to make employment stats look better as you know they'll count people on these placements as being in work.
Is this a revamp of the 'workfare' scheme that a graduate took to court and had scrapped?
