We have news for you all. Due to circumstances changing we have made the decision that the final is going to be brought forward a week. So this is the Semi Final rather than the Quarter Final. So which two couples will land in the final dance off. Who will progress to the final. Lets get our semi final under way. The theme this week is 80s vs 90s!

There was no place to hide with that cheeky Cha Cha, the rhythm most definitely got you, darling and it held you as it held us completely mesmerised with your perfect footwork and quick spins

slick, smooth, sassy

You can’t go wrong with this Gloria song. It’s upbeat and has a cute beat to it. I loved it.

whilst this has been used on strictly before, it was to a jive, this still worked well as a quickstep however

Ammi:
Baby, did you wrap yourself around that Quickstep and you squeezed and you pleased every inch of the dance floor. You flowed and you sparkled in a very lively and lovely performance. Gorgeous

Nicky:
energetic, fast and very exciting music choice

I’m so excited for this quickstep. Such a great dance and you did great

fit the song well in my opinion, but was missing that something I’m afraid.

Ammi:
Sensual, smooth and sassy, your frame was tight and perfect throughout and those hip movements didn’t lie - passionate, romantic and simply ravishing

Nicky:
unusual choice for rumba, i liked it though

Barry:
Rumba is such a hard song I feel bad for you. It was alright but it was not the best

probably my favourite 80’s routine, well done!

I don't give a damn 'bout your reputation because that was just wonderful fun, fun, fun..a perfect jive to a perfect song and you rocked those sexy swings in a hip frenzy. Twirling, energetic and just tantalisingly perfect

this was dope, i am a fan of this song

Yes this is a jive and you peformed it well!

has been used on Strictly, so therefore has to be docked points in fairness, but still a great routine

Ammi:
You didn’t control yourself any longer and you shook that body, baby as you did that Salsa with your posture and poise beautifully aligned. Your timing and togetherness was sizzling and I was in awe as you morphed across the dance floor in an inspired dance

Nicky:
bit of a Gloria overload tonight, this was lesser than the first one, more generic

Gloria Estefan Again? She is sure popular! Anyway the 80s was a good start and I’m hoping the same for the 90s

brilliant, just brilliant!

Ammi:
A beautifully emotion driven routine that felt as though you were plucking dance steps out of the air and it was nothing less than amazing and everything that Contemporary Dance should be - your timing, your togetherness, your floor artistry, your shape - all simple divine


Nicky:
not contemporary at all, no content, this was more streetdance, a shame



Barry:
I like this Contemporary, it was bouncing and has a groovy beat to it. Great second dance.

I’m not sure how I feel about this as an American Smooth, absolutely BEAUTIFUL song, just doesn’t really fit the dance in my opinion, I’m afraid

Ammi:
You had the grace of a swan in that American Smooth, it was dazzling poetry in motion and your footwork was flawless. Your holds and posture were perfection - there is only one thing left to say, darling - FAB-U-LOUS

Nicky:
good music choice for this dance, and you know i am a fan of Celine

Barry:
Beautiful. It was passionate and you did a great job

a very unique routine and one of my favourites tonight.

Ammi:
Sensual and gorgeous and intense and romantic and beautiful and magnificent, this tango had us feeling every emotion as you danced it. From the first to the last second, you teased and you tantalised in one of the most vibrant tango performances we’ve ever seen.

Nicky:
this was dark, i luv a good gothic tango, really nice

Barry:
Now this tango was on fire! I’ve always loved this song. You give this tango all you got and it showed

stunning, that is all.

Ammi:
Incredibly emotive and beautiful, your lines were flawless and it gave me goosebumps, watching. It was effortless and it was seamless and I wanted it to go on forever


Nicky:
again, not suiting this type of dance, more bit slow waltz, or at push rumba-ish

Barry:
I forgot Jessica Simpson was an 90s chick. Anyway the song went well with the waltz and it was a cute routine

Cool, crazy, charismatic, confident, creative, this was incredible dance and I applaud you. The energy was electric and the moves were thrilling, dramatic, exciting and gripping - a perfect dance

very much traditional streetdance, poppin and lockin was sick, bro
