Rant aside I have heard nothing but good things about the Game, I don't have it myself though so I can't verify if it's any good or not.

To be fair... if you're willing to wait a year you'll never pay full price, and most games will come up at 50% or less at some point. The very high prices are only if you want to buy brand new on release.
