I mean that's a bit of a stretch in terms of rose-tinted-history... The empire did well from the colonies, and the landed elite in the colonies, did well. No one else has ever "done well" really, have they. Most of the planet has had a backseat view while 0.01% slowly stripped, plundered and boiled the planet.

I feel like we're lucky in a way though, to be able to have such a unique perspective on this. I mean yes there have always been theories but we got to be the people who saw it all ACTUALLY come home to roost, and fall the **** apart. Fascinating stuff. Part of me really wants to still be here for the end. I reckon I'll miss it by a couple of decades though.
