Certainly by now.
I recall discussions with my Father who was a Con voter.
However he said he'd always thought the first female PM would have been Barbara Castle from Labour.
Then he thought Shirley Williams could have been for Labour too.
It hasn't happened yet although Margaret Beckett was acting leader after the death of John Smith.
She also was the first female Foreign Secretary.
Then Harriett Harman was acting leader twice too.
However, looking at the last female Con leader the disaster which was Mrs May.
Then looking at this new one.
I fear sadly these last 2, it may have been better to have not been in the office of PM.
Love or hate her, I wasn't born in her time, however Margaret Thatcher was a good, strong leader of the Nation.
Worthy of that office .

Maggie blew everyone away. Like her or loathe her, she was the one that made the opening up of Russia happen. She really isn't given the credit she deserved for that
