I don’t know why the second verse isn’t sung…it’s the Anthem at the end of the day. Compared to many world wide it’s a good Anthem…I love the American one the best if I’m honest.
I’m sure the Words would have been on the song sheet though. I’m always aware when people do not sing the Anthem…especially at Football games. Each to their own but you would have expected members of the family to be singing it tbh.

I was actually surprised to find in my early teens that there even was a second verse

It's going to take me a while I think to remember to replace the word Queen with King though.
