All too true.

Scotland got sliced open by San Marino that one time.

But honestly if Scotland or Wales had been robbed like England were today, I would be saying the exact same thing that I'm saying now, I can't stand results being determined by dodgy Ref decisions.

Heck I'd even say the same thing if it was a Premier League match and Aston Villa were robbed by a pathetic Referee decision, it isn't on to cheat teams out of competitions imo.

Harry Kane got to cocky before the match saying how he was gonna beat the French and that to then sky and important penalty which in itself is hilarious

He had no choice but to give them. We SHOULD have had three. And France first goal should have been disallowed.

He gave us one penalty.

VAR had to give the other one, and both the Ref & VAR missed the third one.

but as a Scot, i have zero expectation of them having any success, so they are never a disappointment, and i never get sour grapes about it

It wasn't a pleasing game to watch really.

However the miss of the penalty from the standard of player Kane is.
That really was where the match could have turned if he'd put that away.
I understand though the pressure he'd feel at that particular moment in time with time moving on.

The time he brought Grealish on was totally ridiculous too however.
I'm no admirer of Grealish, he usually spends more time ON the ground than running on it.
However no way in added time could he have performed a miracle in barely 3 or 4 minutes.

Sad for England.
However good luck to France in the semi finals now.

I agree with you on Grealish.

He needed at bare minimum 10 minutes to try and make an impact.

And what about the Bellingham penalty claim ?

I've seen it all before too many times.

We were the the better team over 90 minutes but they were just more clinical than us.

Classic centre forwards goal for their winnner. Our centre forward fluffed his lines when it came to the crunch.

Saka looked our most dangerous player in the second half when he was taking their defenders on. Pity he couldn't have been doing that in the first half.

Bellingham struggled to get into the game but he's still a young kid so can be forgiven. Henderson and Rice were great in the middle of the park and both worked their socks off.

They didn't really trouble us, but they just took the slim chances they did have.

As great as Harry Kane has been in his career, he flopped on the biggest moment.

The 1990 team with a spine of Shilton, Walker, Gascoigne and Lineker is still the best England World cup side I've seen in my lifetime. We got beat on penalties in the semi final by the eventual winners (a great German team) on that night.

The ref was a joke.

Maybe I'm being bias but he seemed to favour France.

That was a foul on Saka leading up to their first goal. Then we didn't even get a free kick when Kane was brought down just outside the area. Then that should have been a red card on our last penalty, a last man foul.

I’d agree , I felt that they were getting 90% of the decisions BEFORE the foul on Saka leading to their goal plus the two penalty claims that we didn’t get

With a different ref we'd have won. Sigh.

I was just thinking that it would be fascinating to get a different ref to watch and referee the game after the event …
They did that with the 1970 FA Cup final of Chelsea v Leeds United but using today’s rules and guidelines..

I seem to recall that he would have sent about 17 players off including the Leeds goalkeeper

Exactly.

I mean it's not some kind of huge conspiracy theory from England fans when the Referee is doing these things, nobody is making him.

why does Maguire keep playing LMAO he is not even good enough for a 5th division club

France were the better side overall, and no the ref kept things fair and square i thought, unlike that lunatic Lahoz at NL - ARG
