That kid was irritating AF, but this teacher completely lost his
temper & mind. You can't go around physically assaulting every student who provokes you... otherwise every teacher would lose their job and any type of ethics they have. I bet the kid is pleased with himself now. And the teacher will be known as a nut case..... who now needs anger management therapy  .
