that's just what love island is though... People at 40+ "looking for love" are either going to be divorced, widowed or just somehow so truly awful that they've never been in a relationship at 40. Depressing stuff surely. Not that people shouldn't still be able to find love - but they should be doing it the "real" way I.e. Meeting and getting to know people naturally, not on a dating show.

What they could do is have a year of Love Island where tleveryine they get in is proper grown ups instead of silly little boys and girls - they have them up to 30 now, so one year where the oldest is 30 but the YOUNGEST is, say, 25, could be an interesting change. Higher chance that most of the people there would actually be genuinely looking to make connections and not just there for a larf.


In terms of having a show with more intelligent conversations and more diversity - isn't that why they're bringing back Big Brother?? I thought that was the whole point
