I just take it for what it is at this point, Mock. I never watched the old series of Strictly (only when someone else had it on and even then only passively) but one thing it does do is fill a void on certain types of Saturday night. Sometimes you just get a laugh out of one or two performances and that’s all you really need to keep you ticking along at this early stage (ditto for BGT and X-Factor). No doubt it’ll heat up as the weeks go on.

But I agree that half of this week’s themes were horrendous. I’m not ignoring that.
