Why would I want to discuss Israel and/or international law with you? The only time I answer you is when you address me directly despite knowing I don't want to talk to you because I find you rude, insulting and an expert on ****ing everything.

I've been on here for 13 years now. I don't think my claims of what and who I am have altered. But hey, you claim what you like.... but don't lecture me on the law. Or anything else come to that. And in return, when you talk about bookies and odds I'll bow to you greater authority.

The rest of Peterborough looked like a foreign country. I'd be interested to know what links they all the foreigners have to the area. Peterborough Council is making a fortune from the government by taking and housing all these incomers to the detriment of indigenous British people. And that is not considered racist, quite the reverse... I am considered racist for saying that.

I lived in a multicultural East London for the first half of my life. Went to school with black and Asian kids, don't remember any serious racism either way. I watched as the whole East End was taken over by other cultures. I know no one living in the East End now except a few old neighbours who can't afford to move.

There's serious trouble coming, that's what I think, and this is just the start.

I feel terrible for the civilian population in the Gaza Strip that are suffering the consequences of Hamas gleefully committing such barbaric atrocities, I do, but I am really appalled at the number of people I know who have chosen to share support with the people of Palestine without so much as a tear for the massacre that prompted this latest escalation. I keep wondering if these same people would be declaring the Manchester Arena bombing victims deserved what happened to them because our government does terrible things around the world to other populations? The actions of the Israeli government or Hamas do not reflect all the civilians they represent any more than our government represents all of us. I do not believe a majority of people in the UK are equipped to discuss what's happening in Israel, Palestine and the borders of Lebanon and Egypt, our media and politicians like to present the Middle East as an amorphous desert war zone and definitely don't want to explain any sort of context of why there is so much hostility, because it's the fault of our ancestors.

People sharing infographics that imply 'well, Hamas had the right to slash throats, burn people alive, kidnap and gun them down, because, you know, Israel' is feeding into anti-Jewish sentiments. It's grotesque. I have a friend who went to Palestine a few years ago and she's been, in my opinion, fervently sharing stuff like this, as if this all happened in a vacuum. It's really affecting me in a way I can't shake. Israel is surrounded by hostile entities. How can anyone reasonably expect the Israeli government to... calmly accept what happened? I understand denouncing them cutting off water, electricity and safe passage because that is objectively terrible, but what's the practical alternative at this very moment? Doing nothing certainly can't be it. I don't know, I'm feeling very sad about it all, I feel very sorry for the innocent people caught up in all this chaos, and very disappointed with the rhetoric I'm seeing in our country about it all.

As Peter Hitchen said yesterday in his ever-excellent DM article

Israel is the only country in the world that gets blamed for being attacked

Hamas is also using innocent palestinians as human shields basically

No LT, Israeli civilians are victims too, same as many Palestinian civilians in Gaza

there are so many innocent victims on both sides

it is kinda ignorant to only think of Israel as a victim here

There were no anti - Hamas marches for the innocents in Israel butchered by terrorists. Apparently even their dead children and babies aren't worth a thought.

You chose to make a sarcastic reply to my post.

As I don't have any hangups or problems in engaging in debate with you, I replied from there. You still know where the block button is I assume.

The point is that I don't know if you are or aren't in law and don't care either way - I'm not the one making any claims, other than the "claim" (fact) that on an anonymous forum no one can be sure of anything at all other than the arguments presented on the day. Yours often make me skeptical about your actual expertise. That's my prerogative I'm afraid. Just as your opinion of me is yours. As always, I'll ignore your insistence and continue to comment on aspects of law whenever I want to in response to whatever I want to, as will everyone else.
