Plus for ratings purposes, the Show needs a contestant that will guarantee a strong performance (even their weaker performances normally still need to be decent) otherwise the Show would bomb in this day and age if everyone was dancing like Adam and Zara. Don't get me wrong those contestants do have their place on the Show as well, but the Show does need a Layton to get people excited about the possibilities of what their favourite contestant could do in the upcoming weeks.
