If I do do a Best English players countdown, you will be disappointed that not many players of your lifetimes feature highly. England just haven't produced the talents over the past 40 years like they used to. A bit like Scotland really.
The top ten will likely be filled with players from the 50s and 60s. I probably couldn't even put Gascoigne or Rooney in the top 10.
