Default Indians forced to fight for Russia

I read an article the other day about some guys who had travelled to Russia over the New Year who had been forced to fight for Russia and now this

Two young Indian men who were expecting to work as "helpers" in the Russian army have instead died fighting in Ukraine, their families have said.

They are among around 35 young Indians tricked by promises of a job, only to find themselves trafficked to the frontline of the invasion, according to investigators in New Delhi.

The death of one of the men has been confirmed by the Indian embassy in Russia.

India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), said on Thursday that it has broken up a "major human-trafficking network" operating across several states and targeting people using social media platforms and through local agents.

Here is the article about the tourists

A group of Indian men who went on a holiday to Russia in December are now trapped and are said to have been forced to fight against Ukraine.

The seven men, who are from Punjab and Haryana, travelled there on December 27 to celebrate the Christian Orthodox new year on January 14.

They had a visa for Russia which was valid for 90 days but then went to Belarus and were unaware they needed a separate visa to do so.

Surely that basically counts as kidnapping at best, enslavement at worst?

I was going to posit that with "I know it sounds hyperbolic but..." but-but I'm not going to.

the russian people that are arrested for protesting etc are also being shipped to the front line.

I've been to Russia numerous times in the past, lived there for months on occasion, but you would never get me near the place now

Yes a Report on WION HD Gravitas , last week.

Said an Indian man in Ukraine
tricked many into joining up
and took cash for that.

He will be arrested if he returns to India.

Sadly some from India have been killed.

Absolutely terrible.

But we all know that the Russian Government will get away with it, as they always do.
