I’m sure that to make it more dramatic, BB will gather them all on the sofa after the snake is found, and reveal what Fern has done for shock value, and that Fern will be made to squirm, whilst the chosen housemate will imagine they’re leaving.

Then the truth will be revealed which I assume BB is hoping will lead to some awkward conversations when the housemate ends up staying.
