Do you mind if I use you as an emotional crutch?

Just had the ugliest family fall out I've had since i pinched 20 quid out my dads wallet 40 years ago.


My sister, whose back I've always had, pounced like shes veen wanting to say it for years.

It's devastating when someone close to you has it out with you and then seems to have an epic Russian novel of their grievances ready to recite to you. It feels like a betrayal.

…on a positive…(…I know that it probably won’t feel like there is any positive atm…)…if there has been some ‘build up’ as you say of things that your sister has been holding onto…then that was always going to be a barrier that you didn’t even realise was there but it was….so this is a chance for you to both break that down and remove it, you know…these things are best all open and given that chance to clear and fresh beginnings etc with any misunderstandings removed…a deep and calm breath from you both and an open conversation without accusation …I hope that you both manage to resolve it…

Family rows are awful. My brother did something recently that broke my heart a little, he didn't realise really what he'd done but to me it was the worst. I haven't spoken to him since and I know when I do I will have to broach it and it will probably cause a row.

I hope you get it sorted Parm and are doing OK

……but then, holding onto it is often much more damaging…having a row gives room and opportunity for healing and moving on …but holding in generally leaves little path forward..it just stays and can grow…

I know.....I have to process it a little first though or my temper gets the better of me and I will make it worse lol. I have to be able to talk calmly about it and make sure I was not over reacting

…yeah, equally as important as addressing it and opening up the conversation is to to do that calmly…and that isn’t an easy thing either when our heads can be whirling with emotions…he obviously doesn’t even realise so has no opportunity to explain or put anything right that he doesn’t realise is wrong…and he deserves that opportunity…if he messes that up, you can pull his hair, Annie…I know that you’ll find the way and the calm space needed, Annie……

Dont you worry about me Annie, they showed there true colours after 2 years of covid isolation..different people from the family face time when I was down London.

I really appreciate you annie, and feel like you could do with a little back up on here cause of what you might be dealing with atm..But I'm hopeless at that. I really am. But I know there are many kind people on here.
