I was once sort-of dating a Polish guy. English was his second language but by all measures he was no different to being a "standard" Brit, he'd been here more than half his life. So I'm not sure he counts?

It was weird - we were hanging out in the pub one evening, he "went to the toilet" and never came back, and blocked me on everything

We (I) weren't really invested enough for it to be worth getting upset over, I was more confused than anything - my theory was he intended to end it that evening, lost his nerve, and bolted; but why bother? We were still at the stage where he could legitimately just have ghosted me without being too much of a twat, he wouldn't have needed to "officially" end it.
