I feel like he was the storm drain of the house... all the crap ran through him and he ended up being a worse gossip than even Martha (but just smarter about it), but his personality fixates on the negative stuff... so probably not the best of influences for Ali & Lily because he kept the mood down.. just kind of what I thought whenever I watched his interactions He comes off as the person who looks for the worst in people...
