I was shocked at how Dean changed. The Dean we saw in the task was vile. The Dean when he was around Emma, Nathan and Rosie was nicer.

Plus making out Marcello said stuff when other housemates have said he hasn't.

Dean has had multiple chances to explain his perspective in a more calm and likable manner, and he has failed multiple times to achieve it.

Unfortunately he is squandering what many other unpopular Housemates over the years would've killed for after being evicted, which is being given multiple second chances to row it back a little bit.
