I have a built in microphone in my laptop..

and was just wondering how i record using it..

I use it on msn to send voice messages..

But how do record it and save it ? x

Im on vista if that matters =) x

Any help would be appriciated =D x

Start > All Programs> Accesories> Entertainment> Sound Recorder.

May be different on Vista, not sure.

Those i come across daily..

Im always forgetting how to do stuff!! x

It took me 3 months to figure out why my DVD player on my laptop didnt wrk..

it was because i didnt have it on play automatically! lol x

You can download Audacity or something like that

No need

Just import the .wma file into Windows Movie Maker (You may need to hunt around for it)

But you did not say what you wanted editing?

I tend to think that WMM and using the Narrate Timeline feature much better than sound recorder as you can only record 60 seconds on that one.

You will have to explore what can and can not be done.

I am on a Vista laptop

Start - All Programmes - Windows Movie Maker

In Windows Movie Maker on Vista, go to Tools - Narrate Timeline

Press start to start talking, stop to finish, then it will ask to save the file somewhere.

Close then take you back to the collection in Windows Movie Maker where the sound file is now imported.

If you do other files you can add them or you can chop bits out.

I have attached a sound file done using Windows Movie maker
