Reform Leader Nigel Farage and Party treasurer Nick Candy met with Elon
Musk at Mar-A-Lago on Monday 16th December. Nigel Farage and Nick Candy said: “We had a great meeting with Elon Musk for an hour yesterday. We learned a great deal about the Trump ground game and will have ongoing discussions on other areas. "We only have one more chance left to save the West and we can do great things together. "Our thanks also to President Trump for allowing us to use Mar-A-Lago for this historic meeting. The special relationship is alive and well.” |

Let him bankroll it, I don't think being in Musk's pocket will do much good for Farage's Bread n Butter Pudding Pie and a Pint image in all honestly. It's not really what people are looking for. Tory-coded.

I'm not sure what Kemi was hoping to achieve with this - Reform have said they're happy for a full audit into their membership, and I doubt with of the major parties would want that
![]() What was she even referring to? Perhaps someone more computer-literate (TS?) can put what I mean in more precise terms, but all I can think of is Kemi did a Ctrl+I to look at the page's source code, or did the "inspect element" thing, and saw the ticking numbers, and assumed it was simply a number generator programmed to count up in intervals, and didn't see or didn't understand whatever the coding was that fed the official figures?

Remembering Kerry

I really wish the Conservatives had been given the choice to elect a leader who could really start to rebuild them.
It's hard in opposition to rebuild and it needs a stronger nerve to do so, even making mistakes on the way. The government has still 4 and a half years to go. They have the opportunity of doing many things to turn things around for them. By simply being in government. It's much harder to sustain recovery or success in opposition. Kemi Badenoch is rather poor unfortunately at PMQs her delivery and chosen topics as questions left ineffectual. However to play into narcissist Farage's hands on poll ratings is extremely unwise on her part. All he does is look for any divisive elements to seize on and try to divide further or even seek destruction. I really hope, the Conservative Party looks deeply inward and does something to thwart the narcissistic egomaniac Farage's divisive aims. However the Labour government too along with the LibDems and Greens. Really need to eradicate more divisions and concerns of the Country. Labour and the LibDems despite the government's massive majority, are in fact working alongside each other on some issues. They just need to get some success from the policies to help convince that long term things will be at least significantly better. I hope Conservative members will push to get some real strength again and direction to see off Reform. Labour had this issue with the Alliance set up in the 80s with the split opposition voting, and saw it off. The Conservatives need to do the same. Last edited by joeysteele; 28-12-2024 at 09:28 AM. |

What political parties need to do is represent the people rather than corporate interests. Surely people can see that other than the name changing from tory to labour and a few more regional accents, there is no change. There won't be any change. Yes, they can spin things to make it look a bit different, but fundamentally, it just isn't any different. Do labour care more? Nope. Will labour put more money into the pockets of working people? Nope. Will labour improve public services? Nope
This is why people like farage end up being successful |
