Rachel Reeves still has to give the date.

[The Autumn Budget 2025 is widely expected
around late October or early November,
potentially between 28 October and 4 November.
With that window fast approaching,
both markets and the public await clarity
on which taxes, including income, corporation,
CGT, ISA and inheritance tax, could soon rise.]

BBC News Text:
[An EU levy on energy set to take effect
next year could hit UK businesses,
jobs and economic growth, according to the i.
The tax is designed to encourage
greener production over carbon-intensive methods,
but the paper says exporters fear
that they could be left facing a bill of
up to Ł800m in carbon tax payments.

The i says the government is seeking
an exemption to the charge which could
also increase energy bills for families.]

Another stealth tax on the 'hardworking ordinary person' as they refer to us Landlords will pass this on to the tenants .... so what they should have said in their manifesto is we wont tax you directly but you will pay anyway

BBC News Text :
["Starmer seizes grip of Budget" is the
i's take, as the paper says, the PM's
move to boost his economic team comes
ahead of the critical autumn Budget.

It also features a source who claims
that Downing Street is "frustrated"
at Chancellor Rachel Reeves over policy
"mistakes". Insiders insist Reeves
and Sir Keir remain politically close,
the paper adds.]
