uniformed, non-warranted Mod staff who provide a visible presence in Serious
Debates, focus on preventing low-level abuse and anti-social behaviour, and act
as a link between the Admin, Mod powers, such as stopping and seizing
threads under certain conditions, but do not have the power to infract.

Iirc we used to have something similar to this..members with more "power" but not banning rights. Was a long time ago now, I want to say it was Shaun in the music forum. Maybe others too.
