I don't think that it's fair to compare the other women to Eni Aluko, she's a special kind of awful.

And I personally find the guy that has replaced Jeff on Gillette Soccer Saturday to be worse than the other women, he has about as much personality as Plank from Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy. For anyone that gets that reference.

There’s one good female pundit and that’s Sue Smith on Soccer Saturday - likeable and knowledgeable and not patronising

Aluko should never be on telly or radio in the first place -she like all the others are simple ( literally) box tickers.


Karen Carney is just patronising and thoroughly dislikable- she just grates my gears with her pub blokey way of talking about football and talks utter bollox when she finally says something of her own ( she often just agrees with what’s been said … “ I agree with what Dave said “ .

Lucy Ward seems to have gone down the co commentator route , she is nice enough but she never stops prattling on all through out the game when that isn’t her job description - she becomes a distraction rather than an enhancement !

( also many of us will never be able to get used to a female voice commentary)

Just as I cannot watch a program with a sign language person in the bottom corner !

Alex Scott is just so full of herself plus she barely speaks English ..

None of them are qualified to comment on football at this level as they all played at a level well below Division 2 … and that was ten or more years ago !

Look how bad it is now so imagine 15 years ago when they weren’t even professional

One of these women pundits only played about 135 matches over 14 years which worked out at less than 10 games per season- at a pizz -poor level as well !!

How are they qualified to critique or criticise these elite players

the dutch cup is also rigged, the bigger teams don't have to play rounds 1 and 2, to prevent any shock exits from happening

I do agree with you on Lucy Ward prattling on a lot, it can annoy me to varying levels depending on my mood at the time.

And tbf, a lot of the pundits that we see on Sky Sports etc were rarely ever elite players (exceptions being Neville, Ian Wright, and Henry) so it's not just the women critiquing players that are much better than when the pundits were players.

Just flicked through the first half .. Grimsby have played well and ManU have disappointed but just like the in Newcastle game the damn ref is giving the flair players no protection at all

There were two clearly bad tackles (confirmed in replays ) that left two ManU players in great pain.. the ref booked neither one and actually just played on ..

What the hell is happening ?


Not long ago they were blowing for next to nothing but now we are getting back to the bladdy seventies
