"Projection" means when you have these feelings you push them onto someone else. For example, if you feel angry at one time, you'll act angry to someone else.
Just remember, absence makes the heart grow stronger and you'll have your gf back in no time I've been away from my bf for a month now, and considering I basically used to live with him - its really hard - so I can totally sympathise and associate with you.
