is it just me or are the dips in sound getting ridiculous....i have managed to lip read some of them and others, BB has made a mistake by blanking sound on one feed while, still being on on the other feed....and nothing untoward was said ..........is this a ploy to make certain housemates more popular or is it to save all the good bits for the C4 show?.......frankly im getting tired of seening chickens bums for no reason.
I can fully understand the resons why and im in total agreement but surley a bleep at the appropriate place would be sufficent.

It is annoying and E4 know it but they have to do it so we can like it or lump it. They have put adverts on tv, websites about it so we just have to deal with it i guess.
But it is very annoying!

We all know why we have the dips as i have said i am in agreement with it .but do you have to blank out 10 minutes of something for 2 swear words...........and worse still when you swich to the other feed you have chickens bums again.... alisons advert for the show was good but if it was dipped like that it would be fine

I've noticed this as well, cos I often have interactive on at the same time as E4 so I can take screen shots etc. The interactive stream is slightly behind the TV stream but, apart from very occasionally, it doesn't have any sound cut and even though I can sometimes see why they have, a lot of the time there doesn't seem to be anything contentious going on at all.

I agree with cymru the sound dipping is far worse this year.

As we all know the technology to just bleep out offending material and the leave the main body of sound intact is well established. E4 I think have chosen the cheapo option.

Also to do a bleep edit would probably take longer and they would not be able to classify it as a live transmission.

Given a choice I would not mind if it was delayed for an hour as long as what we watch can make some sort of sense.

As it stand at the moment the E4 coverage is barely worth bothering with as you only get to hear the boring bits for the most part.

i noticed it most when someone was talking bad about spencer in the week he was up for the chop..........starting to think that c4 are thinking we are stupid or something ..we watch it

I've noticed as well that when someone has something interesting to say about someone the sound suddenly goes. I've thought no way can they be swearing or anything.

E4s coverage has been really poor this year I have to say. It's really not worth watching. They should encrypt it so you need a pin number to see it. Oh and ch4 that doesn't mean a charge for it as well.

They are also very good at hiding things that they don't want you to know.

In the first week, there was a security breach where someone got into the garden and threw eggs at the patio. Myself and several others on a forum I used to belong to (before finding my new home here!!!) saw it on the internet feeds.

I flicked E4 on and waited the customary 10 mins, and guess what - chicken coup! The feed on the net went very dodgy and sound got lost.

About a week later, someone else got into the garden and again, on the net you could hear the housemates discussing it and saying how scared they were. Jonny went off to see BB to protest at the lax security.......then no sound! E4 - NOTHING!!!

These breaches happened. Its increadibly embaressing for Ch4 but to deliberatley go to the chicken coup to try to avoid egg on your face is pretty weak....
