Simon Cowell ‘sits on pillows’ to look taller on TV – video exclusive

X Factor judge Simon Cowell sits on cushions when he’s on TV to look taller, Piers Morgan has revealed.

The former Mirror editor, who was a fellow judge with Simon on Britain’s Got Talent said: “If you look carefully, Simon grows between shows. When we’re on Britain’s Got Talent he’s smaller than me, then suddenly his three pillows arrive and he’s taller than me!”

Morgan also gave his thoughts on the reported feud between X-Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue saying, “Well, how would you feel if someone came on to the show, half your age with real skin?! Cheryl is perfect in every way, except one – she married an arse of a husband.”

The former Daily Mirror editor has just been in the US hosting America’s Got Talent but said the Brits couldn’t compete.

“Has Britain got talent? No not really - Britain’s got special needs! Although I can do a pretty good Axel Rose in a bandana playing the drums!”

Speaking at an event to launch the Palm Treo Pro smartphone in London’s Brick Lane on Monday, he also had some choice words to say about fellow judge David Hasslehoff, calling him ““a *****ing half-wit”, although he did add: “he is really funny and the best tabloid star in world.

“He also told me the golden rule of the Playboy mansion when I said I was taking my girlfriend to Hugh Hefner’s Midsummer’s Night Dream party - you don’t take sand to the beach!’”

I agreed, until he said "Britain's got special needs" which wasn't the most media-savvy of him, to say the least.

I think he's trying to fill the role as the nasty Brit over in America, hence the digs at Cowell.

My friend seen him in London on a college trip the other day and shouted "Piers Morgan you're a ******ing *****" which was completely out of character of her. He just gave her the biggest evils ever

I despise the man, who the hell is he to judge talent? He's had no success in the real world, he's just sat on his fat arse and criticised everyone (the irony ).
