Default Cheryl Cole in bust-up with Louis Walsh after Laura White is voted off X Factor

Quote:
Cheryl Cole in bust-up with Louis Walsh after Laura White is voted off X Factor
FUMING Cheryl Cole had a massive backstage bust-up with Louis Walsh after he voted off X Factor contestant Laura White.

The Girls Aloud star told fellow judge Louis after Saturday's show his decision to send Laura home was "clearly personal".

She then let rip at him after the cameras stopped rolling, leaving onlookers staggered.

A source said: "Cheryl was incandescent with rage. She was furious at his decision and was giving him what for."

Laura, 21, from Bolton, was one of the bookies' favourites to win the ITV talent show.

But she lost the sing-off with Ruth Lorenzo, with Louis casting the deciding vote.

Laura also denied that reports she was dating X Factor executive Matthew Firsht contributed to her being in the final two.

She said: "I'd only been seeing him for four months, so that's why I never spoke about it.

"It's private and I'm a private person."

Well, well Cheryl Cole! Thats rich! How quickly do we forget! This average aasss singer forgot that she was the worst singer during the auditions for girls aloud, and was only put through to the final becasue of the sympathy the judges had (and yes those judges included Louis Walsh). Also forgetting that if it was for talent alone, in the final, she should have been out, for Javine! SO thats quite ironic, to see her forget so quickly and have a go at Louis!

So she should have been that was a ridiculous decision by both Louis and Simon this year is now begining to turn to the tacktiful vote rather than the talent vote but i dont think ruth should have been in the bottom two either Eoghan and Daniel should have

Ok, firstly neither of them Should have been down there, but I can see why they were. Neither performed songs that showcased their talent first time round...........as I warned last week, that meant the sympathy/teeny votes piled up for lesser acts. I felt that BOTH did fab in the sing-off. But ruth edged it. Nonetheless, I EXPECTED them to take it to deadlock, especially with the studio audience bias toward laura. (!!)
This wasn't quite a maria lawson moment, but it was close.

I'm sure Louis voted tactically. He made sure he got rid of one of the best vocalists instead of going to the public vote.

I think the bitterness between the judges invalidates the contest at times. We now have a scenario where two of the best acts have gone within the space of two weeks, Daniel is picking up momentum, Owen seems to have an army of fans and I personally think we’re in for another mediocre winner

I heard that even if had been taken to deadlock, Laura still would have gone home. Apparently she had the lowest votes, but it was close between ALL 7 acts, and anyone of them could have been in the bottom two that night as it was that close.

Louis cant have known that. He made his decision to protect his own act from one of the strongest singers.

Not saying he did.

But IMO Ruth was the better in the sing off. If she had been against Daniel and possibly Rachel then I think she would have stayed.

You're right Ruth was better. Although, as soon as Laura found out she was in the sing off she completely froze. I dont think she said a single word apart from when she sang. I felt so sorry for her; she's been one of the most consistent acts throughout the contest, she's touted as a potential winner but as soon as she's in the bottom two, she's gone. Harsh.

I really think Ruth is nearly impossible to beat in a sing off. She just sings so well under pressure and of course she can at last get to sing something that really suits her voice. Both her sing off have been outstanding.

You could see it in how Laura approached the song, she walked up to sing in like a daze, where as Ruth approached the her song with a smile, centered herself and let rip.

Some how I think her leaving the show might be a good thing. She will be allowed to develop her voice and write her songs in the away she wants to without being forced to become something she isn't by a large label.

I do like Ruth and I'm glad she stayed but if it was truly a difficult decision and he "regrettably" sent home Laura, then Louis should have taken it to deadlock and sent home Ruth.

In terms of what he said he did make the right decision. He said that he picked the girl to stay that he thought had the most fight left in her, and Ruth has a hell of a lot of fight as you can see in her sing off songs.

Did Cowell actually say why he picked Ruth to stay?

You're totally right. From the moment Laura found out she had to sing again all she said was that she was 'gutted'. She took it very badly where as Ruth took it in her stride.

Can't blame Cheryl really; it's common knowledge that the more you're in the bottom two, the less likely it is you're going to develop a fan base out of nowhere, so on that basis, Ruth should have gone, but she really did nail her bottom two performance (totally agree with what Red said) whereas Laura seemed to be totally destroyed and, while her song was nice, it just wasn't as good as Ruth.

Simon did the same tactical vote with Ruth (when she was bottom two for the first time) and hardly anybody said anything, despite her being one of the most talented there.
