Yeah I cant really imagine Angelina Jolie expressing interest in a new Tomb Raider. Unless of course it involves the recue of ancient orphans from Calcutta, or somehting bizzare like that.

The problem with Tomb Raider is that a live action film is always gonna be costly since the locations are a big part of Tomb Raider, without a big star studios won't take the risk especially sicne the second one didn't do as well as the first. Maybe down the line we'll see an animated film of sorts but chances are no.

I mentioned in another post but I don't think you saw it, there's a new Resident Evil film out on DVD now which is called Resident Evil Degeneration.
