He is rather arrogant sometimes, but I don't see anything wrong with how he was handling the task. He said it nicely to Sree to not ****** about, it was Sree who turned it into an argument. All the housemates will be complaining if they fail, especially if it's because Sree messes it up.

I don't know why Marcus doesn't flock off.

He is not a sheep so he can't really be a flock though.

So the reason is that he can only flock off if he turns in to a sheep.
