Yes and also when he was asking Norine to defend or back him up over something ( I forget) and Marcus claimed Norine had said something nice to him, Norine replied that she couldn't remember and would only ever usiing a 'term' to her brothers. Can't for life of me remember what it was, but anyhow Marcus was so trying to flirt and was not doing a very good job. Their conversation ended with Marcus looking/feeling foolish.

So yes I can see his lack of tact can come across wrong.
