Yip his stories are cringeworthy, I have a brother in law who does that all the time, he comes out with these ridiculous stories that a five year old could pick holes in, it is really embarrassing when he does it.
The sad thing about Marcus is, he can be very perceptive at times but it fails him when it comes to women, I mean, when Noirin is saying no I don't want a 'cuddle/non sexual rub (wtf is that by the way)' etc he still can't seem to grasp the fact that she doesn't want him near her.

Mind you she does herself no favours by going and sitting with him, I'd be avoiding him like the plague, if I'd told him that many times the only way to deal with it after that is to keep out of his way.
