I am afraid the kinds of arguments advanced by Moron and AhmedFan rest on a number of errors in reasoning:
ERROR 1: That those who vote to evict people they dislike would enjoy the show more if they did not vote to evict people they dislike.
There is simply no reason to believe this. Indeed, evicting people you do not like itself constitutes a part of the enjoyment of the show. The evictions of Sree and Kris are among my fondest memories of BB10 so far.
ERROR 2: I would prefer it if Sree/Kenneth/Marcus/Sophie/whoever were not evicted, so that person not being evicted would make it a better show.
Closely connected to Error 1 and evidenced nicely in one of AhmedFan's posts in this very thread, when he says how the show went downhill for him after Sree was evicted. I recall the many doomsayers telling us all how the show would be rubbish after Sree was ousted from the House. Well it wasn't for me. The show didn't go downhill for me, nor for many others here. I loved Sree being evicted. While he was an interesting HM, alternative narratives have arisen to replace those he was involved in and the show goes on.
ERROR 3: That people's complaints that BB is "boring" are linked to the eviction of certain HMs that AhmedFan and Moron would prefer stay in the House.
Again, there is simply no evidence for this. I search in vain for the many threads from repentant voters wishing they had evicted Halfwit instead of Sree and campaigning for his triumphant return to the House so that he can irritate the hell out of them for a few more weeks. Complaints that the show is "boring" are inevitable from some, and for many it is simply the result of the novelty of a nine-year-old format having worn off. There is little if any evidence to suggest they are in any way linked to the eviction of AhmedFan and Moron's favourite Housemates.
The fundamental error underlying all such complaints is simply generalising one's own desires to others, or taking one's own desires and projecting them onto the show as if they are objective aesthetic properties of the show.
I am sure that such threads will continue, although it would be nice if certain people could express their opinions on the matter without a constant stream of childish insults. However, in the end it is just a few people making the groundless claim that everyone else's desires are just wrong. I see no reason to accept any of it.
