Just my take. I think Noreen has not found the right man for her in the house and I don't think she will ever find the right man until she starts to love herself, she looks for attention and praise from outside influences and she should be looking within herself, that way she would be more confident about herself and her decisions instead of looking for other peoples approval and advice and if she had this mentality she certainly would not have let the situation with Marcus get out of hand.
