41. Instead of killing the good guy at the first opportunity, the bad guy will instead choose to mock him and divulge his top secret plan.
Once the bad guy has finished telling the good guy every single detail of his evil scheme, and decides to actually kill him, the hero will be rescued, find a way to escape, or somehow aquire a weapon and kill the bad guy.

42. Even if they're drowning in their own blood, the hero's mentor/lover/best friend will always find time to give the hero a touching and/or inspirational speech before they die.

43. When the hero's best friend/parent/sibling/lover/pet cat gets murdered, rather than go through the grieving process, get therapy, and try to gradually rebuild their life, they will ALWAYS swear revenge and become a vigilante.
They will always get their revenge, and won't ever get imprisoned for taking the law into their own hands.
