Default Is leaving the new chic ?

For the last 4 series, 10 housemates have left the Big Brother house. It never happened on such a high rate before so why do you think so many housemates left ? And is leaving considered as more shocking than being evicted because the eviction format seem to be less 'unforgettable' ?

I think it's because BB is losing popularity. In the first few series, your fame and money came from winning and all runners up were in it for just the experience.

These days, however, the most part of the experience comes afterwards, the magazine deals, the z lister parties, the bb spin off shows. If you leave nowadays you've not much to lose, whereas if you left during BB1-BB4 you'd be straight back into normal life.

I think it's simple, the h/mates this year have very little to offer, I say very little to offer, in entertainment value!
Always evict the controversial ones 1st, then we have the deadwood and boring left, if Marcus is considered a 'character' you just know it is a bad series!

The housemates know that any benefits they can get when they leave the house can be achieved whether you leave via the front or back door

You have to remember that 2 of this year's walkers (Kenneth and Isaac) were recruited to appear by Big Brother. Big Brother wanted them to be on the show, not the other way round, and therefore they really didn't have incentives to stay.

Well it's not to bad when you think about it. Kenneth and Isaac were both asked to appear on the show to be with their partners, so it wasn't a big surprise to see them leave to be with them again.

Than leaves us with Saffia and Tom, and I think they both left for bad reasons and both admitted they regretted leaving. Saffia said on BBBM she left because of Sophia, who was evicted the following day - and Tom said on Friday he regretted leaving after seeing how people have reacted since he left. I think Tom wanted something out of BB, and didn't think he was going to get it due to low ratings etc.. And I think Saffia left because she was so desperate to see how the public would see her - it resulted in her leaving.

But since Big Brother 7, 10 left so what is it that made them leaving ? What is it ? I'm wondering because we never had that many leaves before (2 in BB3 and 1 in BB6)
