Board Rules: An uploadable avatar's width can be no greater than 150 pixels, a height no greater than 160 pixels and a file size no more than 120000 bytes.

You can use a bigger picture for your avatar, but when you upload it to the site, it will be resized automatically.

Or ..... point me in the direction of the pic you'd like to use and I'll try to resize it for you.

something like 600x500 would be cool but i think thats probably too big

Yep! The banners that I make are 500x100!
