Marcus is a nobody - desperately trying to be a somebody - he sees this show as his 'platform' to achieve that goal!
Make no mistake - he wants to win this show!!
He knows the game inside out - what wins public approval - what doesn't!
He has made himself entertaining! Always popular!
He has played the 'get the public sympathy' card - always a good one!
He has done the 'standing up' to the bullies bit - always goes down well!
He has played the 'reverse psychology' card - that seems pretty effective too! And in the worst case scenario - acts as a safety net - to save face!
That guy is as manipulative as they come - and his ego is much bigger than he is!!
