it doesn't matter if they weren't allowed to talk to anyone, they aren't allowed out of the house whilst they're on the show.

producers clearly running out of ideas

Slightly different methinks! All they heard then were cheers, boos or "Get____out" chants. With the magazine they can focus in on specific details of what the HMs are doing that is annoying the public etc.

It would have been better if it were two housemates that anybody was remotely interested in going into London.

They are trying to come up with refreshing ideas but yeah them receiving more contact from the outside world defeats the whole format entirely. I think the housemates should receive false information from the outside world.
