Concurrance to this statement.

And I dont think that David felt the need to be as funny when he was with Lisa because the two of them were comfortable just talking about things with each other all day.

And I think as well that David was funny when he was with Lisa, It's just that he was painted with the same brush as Lisa and so was deemed to be totally non-likeable by the haters. So if he was funny, it wouldn't have been noticed because all the emphasis would be on how much the viewer disliked Lisa and himself and it would've gone unnoticed or as an attempt to seek attention.

good points, though I think Lisa really held David back a lot.
Lisa didn't really get involved with much at all, she kind've just sat round, drinking tea and smoking. David did gravitate towards her, out of friendship and possibly out of an awareness she didn't really have anyone close in there.
I honestly think David didn't get involved in much because he might've felt guilty leaving Lisa on her own.
He does seem like a fun person who loves life etc, but we weren't given the opportunity to see that shine, which is a shame.[/rquote]
