And no, that would not be fair to say, vocals play a huge part in my opinion of an artist but I also beleive that amazing vocals can be substituted with passable ones if someone is expressing themselves so well via other mediums.

Ah, fair enough. I get what you mean now, about tolerating not so great voals, with an energetic performance.
But personally, I was expecting much better from him! It was actually the only performance I was waiting with anticipation.
