Preston's ex claims reality show drove them apart

CELEBRITY Big Brother star Preston's ex-fiance has finally spoken out about being dumped for reality TV winner Chantelle Houghton (left).

Camille Aznar, 25, was devastated when the Ordinary Boys singer, 24, left her for the Essex model, despite his marriage proposal.

She said: "The pressure was so tough we decided to call it off. We had to face the fact we could never go back to how we were."

This week Chantelle, 22, apologised to Camille for being "partly to blame" for splitting up the happy couple and confirmed they were now officially an item.

The dizzy blonde said: "Things happen in people's lives that completely change it. Things happen that are unpredictable."

But Camille said Preston had changed since taking part in the show and seemed more interested in being a famous face. The French IT marketing assistant said: "Preston has gone into the world of celebrity now, but it's one I don't belong in."

Camille, who met Preston two years ago, told Grazia magazine she "felt unease and concern" when he said he was doing BB.

She said: "I could see Chantelle was flirting with Preston. She was infatuated with him. Maybe I was naive, but I wanted to wait until I talked to him to make up my own mind about his feelings for Chantelle."

But Preston shocked Camille by proposing to her only a few days after leaving the house.

She said: "The engagement was a surprise and I was delighted because I thought it was a chance to get back to normal.

"It should have been the best night of my life, but the next day I felt anxious. I wanted to be happy but I couldn't because of the pressure on us. He had this superstar status and it only took a few days to realise that things weren't going to work out.

"Preston had been through this surreal experience and I was part of his old life.

"There was a distance. He was making the most of his new status, but the stability had gone and I began to feel uneasy about the future. Then we mutually agreed to split up."

Camille won't watch her ex-boyfriend's new love in new reality TV show Chantelle: Living the Dream on E4 tonight. She said: "I've never been a fan of reality TV. I understand Preston did BB for his career but I was always apprehensive."

Last night Chantelle admitted her love for Preston was beyond control.

She said: "We all came out and Preston went back to his girlfriend.

"We were talking on the phone and ended up meeting. We didn't say 'Right let's be together' - it just happened."

People do move on, thats a fact, and it seems Preston has moved on.

They split up by mutual agreement, so I think we should cut Preston some slack.
