They start filming at 21:00.

When they say they are going to an ad break, they continue filming while we watch the ads.

Therefore after the first ads, there is a 3/4minute delay which grows with each ad break.

So basically it starts off completely live, (give/take 1 or 2 mins) but is delayed a fair bit by the end.

This is true of BB10 because I can see the studios from my window & I see all the lights go on, and the fireworks in the finals etc.

Not true. With the past few launches certain independent websites showed photos of the first few housemates getting out of the cars a few minuets before launch. The whole thing starts early.

I just edited it. Of course its never 100% live but it is prettymuch live to begin with, and the delay does progress as the show goes on.
As I said I can see it out of my window haha.

No, Davina does stop for breaks, I remember because during an ad someone had took a picture of the big screen and it was a sony thing saying live cam or something and when the ad ended it when back to the eye graphic

What series was it?

And anyway they might have a couple of the ad breaks because they need to do checks and so on like any TV show.

However they could well have been testing/playing around with the screen while viewers at home saw a VT; as they arent actually obliged to show the VT's to the live crowd.

As I say I can actually see the studios in real time, unlike many people on here making up rubbish they just want to be true.

No, it's not live at the start. It's on the same delay the whole way through. TV has to work like that. They don't edit the segments together as they go along.

And there are plenty of videos of Davina during the ad breaks falling over and talking with the crowd and what not.

In fact the whole idea of them having to take breaks during a pre-recorded show is proof that the show, live or not, has to follow the same time transcript as the finished product on TV.
